President Lee Jae Myung will be staying at the Hannam-dong official residence starting from June 5.
President Lee Jae Myung is speaking at the Safety and Security Inspection Meeting held on the 5th at the National Security Council (NSC) conference room in the Yongsan Presidential Office building in Seoul.
On this day, Presidential Office spokesperson Kang Yoo Jung announced that President Lee would be staying at the Hannam-dong residence, which has completed its inspection.
Spokesperson Kang explained, "The Hannam-dong residence will be used until the renovation of the Blue House is swiftly completed and the Presidential Office is relocated." She added, "The decision was made in consideration of the potential impact on the relevant institution and the waste of taxes that could result from moving to a third location other than the Hannam-dong residence."
