Jang Seil, Mayor of Yeonggwang County, congratulated President Lee Jaemyung on his election victory and emphasized, "Now is the time for us to move forward together with hope."

On June 5, through a congratulatory message for President Lee's election, Mayor Jang expressed his commitment, stating, "Together with the residents, together with the Lee Jaemyung administration, we will create greater happiness through 'Yeonggwang made together, Yeonggwang enjoyed together.'"

He continued, "The launch of the new administration is a historic moment in which all citizens have collectively decided on the tasks of achieving political stability, economic growth, and the restoration of democracy in Korea." He further emphasized, "We will focus all our efforts on regional development in line with the new administration's governing philosophy and policy direction."

He added, "President Lee Jaemyung has announced plans to foster the southwest coast of Jeonnam, especially Yeonggwang, as a hub for the renewable energy industry and to actively support the energy industry infrastructure by expanding government-level power transmission and distribution networks." He also stated, "Yeonggwang County is preparing a 'Yeonggwang-style basic income' policy and will address population decline and local economic stagnation through an innovative policy that returns profits from sunlight and wind energy to all residents."
