The inauguration ceremony, held at Incheon International Airport on the same day, was attended by CEO Lee Ibae, Head of Commercial Division Jung Jaepil, and other executives.
The Incheon-Hakodate route is operated exclusively by Jeju Air and offers two flights per week (Thursdays and Sundays). Flights depart from Incheon International Airport at 1:45 p.m. and arrive at Hakodate Airport at 4:20 p.m. The return flight departs Hakodate at 5:20 p.m. and arrives in Incheon at 8:25 p.m.
Starting July 1, Jeju Air plans to increase the frequency to four flights per week (Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays), up from the current two flights per week.
Hakodate is often referred to as the "Europe within Hokkaido" and is known for its pleasant summer temperatures, which average between 20 and 25 degrees Celsius.
The load factor for Jeju Air's inaugural flight on this route reached 97.4%, effectively achieving a full booking.
A Jeju Air representative stated, "We will continue to expand our route network to various destinations and provide differentiated travel experiences," adding, "We hope travelers can relieve accumulated fatigue and stress by enjoying a refreshing summer in Hakodate."
