Gyeongnam Information University Signs Business Agreements and Holds Scholarship Ceremony for K-Beauty Talent Development

Industry-Academia Partnership Signed with Leading K-Beauty Companies
37 Million KRW in Scholarships Donated

On June 4, the Department of K-Beauty Skin and Nail and the Department of K-Beauty Health at Gyeongnam Information University signed business agreements with three leading companies in the beauty industry for talent development and received scholarship donations from six companies.

The event, held at the university's Cultural Center basement concert hall, consisted of three parts: Part 1 was the industry-academia cooperation agreement signing ceremony, Part 2 was the scholarship presentation ceremony, and Part 3 featured a special lecture by CEOs.


Participants in the agreement included representatives from Gyeongnam Information University and three companies: Signiel Spa Le Nobel A&C (CEO Kim Sukja), Cleanup Dermatology Clinic (CEO Nam Sangho), and WSD Ultimate (CEO Baek Jeongwan). The participating companies agreed to cooperate extensively in various areas, including student field training support, industry-academia-linked education, employment of graduates, and education for current employees.


During the scholarship presentation ceremony, a total of 37 million KRW in scholarships was donated by six companies: Lee Eunhee Esthetic (CEO Lee Eunhee) donated 11 million KRW; Yakson Myungga (CEO Kim Hyunsook) donated 10 million KRW; Seomyeon S-Line Gyarum Bichek (CEO Kim Eunmi) donated 8 million KRW; Esthetic Mi Inga (CEO Kim Seongsuk) donated 5 million KRW; ST Esthetic (Director Seo Gyujin) donated 1 million KRW; and KIT CIDESCO Alumni Association (President Hong Kyungpyo) donated 2 million KRW.


In the third part of the event, the CEO special lecture, Kim Hyunsook of Yakson Myungga, Kim Eunmi of Seomyeon S-Line Gyarum Bichek, and Lee Eunhee of Lee Eunhee Esthetic shared their vivid experiences and expertise from the field, providing students with a meaningful opportunity to learn from industry leaders.


Kim Kyungmi, head of the Department of K-Beauty Health, said, "We are grateful to be able to provide a better educational environment for our students through industry-academia cooperation, expanded employment opportunities, and scholarship support," adding, "Gyeongnam Information University will continue to collaborate with leading domestic and international brands to become a global beauty school."


Starting in 2026, the Department of K-Beauty Skin and Nail and the Department of K-Beauty Health at this university will be integrated and reorganized into the 'Global K-Beauty Department,' recruiting 160 new students for majors in skin care, nail care, adult learners, and international students.
