2025 RPA Big League
Annual Cost Savings of 45.4 Billion KRW Through Automation of 247 Tasks
NH Nonghyup Bank announced on June 5 that it will hold the "2025 4th RPA Big League" until October, aiming to expand field-oriented business automation.
This league is an internal competition where practical staff members take the lead in discovering, planning, and developing tasks to automate regular, structured, and repetitive work. In this year's competition, a total of 35 teams consisting of headquarters and branch employees will carry out 47 projects.
To encourage active participation from employees with no prior RPA experience, the program offers one-on-one mentoring with RPA planners and developers, customized development workshops, and on-site maintenance training.
Nonghyup Bank provides an "RPA Portal" and a user-friendly development solution that enable all employees to directly develop and utilize business automation. This year, in response to requests from branch employees, the bank plans to strengthen the "Branch Modular RPA" function, which operates bots, to establish a foundation that allows RPA to be utilized at branches nationwide.
Kim Yonghwan, Head of Process Innovation at Nonghyup Bank, stated, "Including the 47 RPA Big League projects, we expect to automate a total of 247 tasks, resulting in an annual cost reduction of approximately 45.4 billion KRW. We will continue our digital innovation by automating simple, repetitive tasks so that employees can focus on high value-added work, thereby increasing customer satisfaction and productivity."
