Gyeonggi Province and the Gyeonggi Business and Science Accelerator have announced plans to launch "AI Literacy Online and Offline Education" to help residents understand artificial intelligence (AI) and apply it in their daily lives. Applications for the first round of participants will be accepted until June 19.
The recruitment target is 25 people per course, across 9 courses, for a total of 225 participants.
Gyeonggi Province plans to recruit new participants for the next round of courses in the middle of each month, aiming to educate a total of 885 people this year.
The main topics of the first round include nine courses closely related to everyday life, such as: "Become Your Own AI Writer with an AI Assistant," "Escape! Overtime Hell: Leave Work on Time with AI," and "Create Additional Income with AI Personas." Participants will use generative AI tools directly to design personal projects and gain experience in content creation.
In addition, the program will provide education on AI ethics and responsible usage to help participants use AI tools in a healthy and effective manner. Upon completion, participants are expected to acquire practical skills to utilize AI in various aspects of daily life and work.
The courses will be held at the Pangyo Gyeonggi AI Campus, and starting in October, programs will also be offered at the Northern AI Campus in Goyang.
Kim Kibyeong, Director of AI for Gyeonggi Province, stated, "This will be an important opportunity for residents to proactively adapt to the rapidly changing AI era and integrate AI into their daily lives and workplaces. We will continue to enhance the AI competitiveness of Gyeonggi residents through various AI education and support programs."
