Sancheong County Council Convenes 306th First Regular Session

Comprehensive Review of County Administration Including
2024 Fiscal Year Settlement and Administrative Audit

The Sancheong County Council in South Gyeongsang Province convened the 306th First Regular Meeting on June 4, 2025, launching a 20-day session and officially commencing its legislative activities.


During this session, the council plans to deliberate on key agenda items, including the Sancheong County Missing Persons Search Support Ordinance proposed by Councilor Shin Dongbok, the approval of the 2024 fiscal year settlement for Sancheong County, and the approval of reserve fund expenditures submitted by the county governor. The council will also conduct an administrative audit aimed at enhancing the transparency and efficiency of county administration.

In addition, the first plenary session featured five-minute free speeches focused on the development of county governance.


Councilor Shin Dongbok proposed elevating the brand value of Sancheong Black Pig to establish Sancheong as a premium region. Councilor An Cheonwon called for the creation of an official park golf course to revitalize the local economy. Councilor Lee Youngguk requested measures to restore the population of Sancheong-eup to 10,000 residents.


Subsequently, a motion to require the attendance of the county governor, proposed by Councilor Choi Horim, was introduced and approved.


In his opening address, Council Chair Kim Suhan stated, "I ask that you do your utmost to ensure that the review and approval of the 2024 fiscal year settlement serves as both a steering guide and a milestone for budget execution. I also request that the administrative audit be policy-oriented, not only identifying shortcomings but also presenting alternatives."
