Establishing Safety Management Measures
for the 2025 Korea Garden Industry Expo in Jinju
Jinju City in South Gyeongsang Province held a 'Safety Management Working Committee' meeting in the Disaster and Safety Situation Room at Jinju City Hall on June 4, 2025, to review safety measures for the upcoming '2025 Korea Garden Industry Expo in Jinju' scheduled for June 13. The meeting focused on ensuring the safe operation of the event.
The working committee meeting was presided over by Vice Mayor Cha Seokho of Jinju City. Representatives from the Jinju Police Station, Jinju Fire Station, Korea Electrical Safety Corporation, Korea Gas Safety Corporation, Jinju City Architects Association of the Korea Institute of Registered Architects, and Korea Water Resources Corporation attended the meeting. They discussed a range of opinions on safety management at the festival site.
During the meeting, detailed reviews were conducted on the safety management plan, deployment of safety personnel within the venue, safety of stages and facilities, and crowd control measures for visitors. The participants reaffirmed the division of roles and cooperation systems among the organizations, committing to ensure flawless safety management on the day of the event.
Based on the outcomes of this working committee meeting, the city plans to form a joint safety inspection team with the police, fire department, Korea Electrical Safety Corporation, and Jinju City Architects Association of the Korea Institute of Registered Architects on June 12. This team will conduct a preliminary inspection of the venue and check the preparation status.
Vice Mayor Cha Seokho emphasized, "Above all, the safety of citizens is our top priority," and asked, "Please make sure that citizens and visitors can enjoy the event with peace of mind."
Meanwhile, Jinju City was selected as the final host city for the '2025 Korea Garden Industry Expo' organized by the Korea Forest Service. The expo will be held for 10 days from June 13 to June 22 at Chojon Park and surrounding areas, under the theme 'Life with Gardens: Practical Gardens in Everyday Life.'
