Binggrae and Maeil Dairies Resume Deliveries to Homeplus

Some food companies that had halted product supply to Homeplus, which is currently undergoing corporate rehabilitation proceedings, have resumed deliveries.

According to industry sources on June 4, Binggrae resumed supplying products to Homeplus starting June 3. Binggrae had previously suspended the supply of all products to Homeplus?including Banana Flavored Milk, Yoplait, Melona, as well as ice cream, milk and cheese, fermented milk, coffee, and juice?since May 24.

Maeil Dairies also resumed supplying some products over the past weekend after having previously suspended deliveries.

Following the announcement of Homeplus's initiation of corporate rehabilitation proceedings in March, major food companies such as Ottogi, Dongseo Food, and Lotte Chilsung Beverage had suspended product supply to Homeplus for a period of time. Seoul Dairy Cooperative also halted deliveries for over 40 days after failing to reach an agreement on transaction terms with Homeplus.
