The Damyang Scholarship Foundation announced on the 4th that the Damyang Livestock Cooperative Women’s Association, led by President Lim Sujeong, donated 1 million won in proceeds earned from the Korean beef consumption promotion event held during the Bamboo Festival as a scholarship fund.
The Damyang Livestock Cooperative Women’s Association is an organization of women in the livestock industry established in 2022, and currently has 21 active members. During this year’s festival, the association promoted the quality of Damyang Korean beef to visitors by operating a self-service restaurant and a free tasting corner, thereby encouraging Korean beef consumption.
President Lim Sujeong stated, "I am happy to share the proceeds from the festival to support local talent," and added, "We will continue to actively participate in various activities that can bring vitality to our community."
