The Korea Student Aid Foundation (Chairman Bae Byungil) and Samil Spinning (Chairman Noh Heechan) signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on June 4 at the Samil Spinning headquarters in Gyeongsan, North Gyeongsang Province, to strengthen the practical skills of high school graduates and connect them with the industrial field.
The Korea Student Aid Foundation is a quasi-governmental organization under the Ministry of Education, established in 2009 to provide professional and comprehensive financial aid for higher education opportunities to anyone, regardless of economic circumstances, based on their will and ability. With an annual budget exceeding 11 trillion won, the foundation operates various programs to foster future talent, including national scholarships, student loans, national excellence scholarships, national work-study scholarships, donations, and mentoring.

Since 2020, the foundation has also operated the Central Employment Support Center, established by the Ministry of Education to create growth pathways for high school graduates that reflect their aptitudes and abilities. It carries out initiatives to promote employment among high school graduates and, in cooperation with 18 regional employment support centers, vocational high schools, and related organizations, continuously contributes to creating a nationwide environment for quality jobs and high school graduate recruitment.
This MOU between the Korea Student Aid Foundation and Samil Spinning was promoted as a public-private cooperation model to provide practical employment preparation opportunities for high school graduates, such as field training, job experience, and work experience programs, so that talented graduates can smoothly transition into society after graduation.
Through this agreement, both organizations will make joint efforts to achieve tangible results, and they expect to contribute to the promotion of employment among high school graduates.
Bae Byungil, Chairman of the Korea Student Aid Foundation, stated, "This agreement is significant as a practical example of cooperation to promote the social advancement of high school graduates and achieve mutual growth with local companies. We will continue to strengthen customized support for high school graduates across various areas, including scholarships, career planning, and field experience."
Noh Heechan, Chairman of Samil Spinning, said, "In an era where ability is valued over academic background and practical experience over credentials, high school graduates are very important players in the industrial field. Samil Spinning will work closely with educational institutions to ensure that young people can experience a 'learning while working' growth model."
