According to the county on June 4, this festival is a complex experiential content event that combines 'stone,' the symbolic resource of Miasan, with 'dokkaebi' characters, which reinterpret traditional Korean folklore in a modern way. It is designed so that people of all ages can enjoy it.

The main program of the festival, the '1st Miasan Stone Pagoda Building National Competition,' is a nationwide event open to anyone interested in stone sculpture. Participants will create creative stone pagodas using stones provided on-site, with 'Jinan' as the theme.

The competition is divided into three categories: Professional, Family/Student, and Open, with 10 teams in each category. Teams of 2 to 4 people can apply. Judging will be based on evaluations by professional judges and votes from visitors, with criteria including originality, thematic expression, and teamwork. A total prize of 7.8 million won will be awarded to winners in each category. Applications are being accepted on a first-come, first-served basis via email or Google Forms until June 15.

At the event venue, there will be experience booths featuring modern reinterpretations of traditional games such as Biseokchigi, Sabangchigi, Gongginori, Stone Art, Dolkkaebi Tarot, instant photo printing booths, retro costume experiences, Yeot making, and Dalgona making. In addition, nostalgic spaces such as the 'Dolkkaebi Old Photo Studio' and the 'Old Store Pop-up Store' will also be operated.

The festival will also feature a rich lineup of performances, including fusion Korean traditional music, pansori madanggeuk (traditional musical drama), puppet shows, magic shows, circus acts, Nanta (percussion performance), and busking. Throughout the event, there will also be a Wish Dolkkaebi photo zone and a media wall exhibition using on-site photos, offering visitors unique memories.

In the food zone, local small business owners will operate the 'Meokkkaebi Booths,' offering a variety of foods ranging from nostalgic snacks such as 'Old-fashioned Lunch Boxes' and 'Salad Bread' to local specialties from Jinan, adding to the fun of the festival.

Jung Nankyeong, head of the county's tourism division, said, "This 'Maidolkkaebi Nanjang' is a unique festival utilizing the resources of Miasan and Jinan, and we have prepared a variety of programs that all generations can enjoy, from the stone pagoda building competition to retro experiences, performances, and food. We hope that families, friends, and couples will all come together to create precious memories and experience the new charms of Jinan."
