Selected as Official On-boarding Partner for Catena-X
SK AX Makes Full-scale Entry into the Global Automotive Supply Chain Data Ecosystem
SK AX announced on June 4 that it has obtained the qualification of On-boarding Service Provider (OSP) from CofinityX, the operator of Catena-X, Europe's largest automotive supply chain ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) data network.
An On-boarding Service Provider is an official institution that supports the entire technical and procedural process for companies seeking to participate in the Catena-X ecosystem, ensuring smooth ESG data integration and system access.

Catena-X is a global automotive ESG data consortium established through joint investment by ten global companies, including SAP, Siemens, BMW, and Mercedes-Benz. Its goal is to connect and standardize key data throughout the entire product lifecycle, thereby achieving both digital transformation and sustainability.
With the acquisition of OSP qualification, SK AX will act as a comprehensive support partner for companies wishing to join the Catena-X ecosystem. SK AX emphasized that this selection is significant not only as official recognition as a core partner in the global ESG digital ecosystem, but also in securing leadership in the AI-driven (AX) transformation of the ESG market.
Through this qualification, SK AX will support: ensuring carbon data integrity; providing guidelines for data sovereignty, security, and personal information protection; proposing business applications necessary for data management; and facilitating ecosystem adoption through ongoing operations, training, and maintenance.
In this process, the carbon emission data management platform of Glassdome, a company in which SK AX has invested and is jointly operating in Korea, has been registered as an official business application for Catena-X. The carbon emission data management platform automatically collects carbon emission data and generates reports throughout the entire product lifecycle?from raw material extraction to production, distribution, use, and disposal?enabling companies to utilize this information for ESG disclosures and compliance with global regulations.
SK AX plans to use this OSP qualification as a starting point to launch a supply chain traceability business that manages product lifecycle data for global automakers and their first- and second-tier suppliers. In addition, SK AX will participate in establishing data space guidelines for the Korea-style Catena-X project, which is being promoted jointly by the public and private sectors, and aims to discover new business opportunities in the domestic data ecosystem in the future.
