New Store Opens in Kuala Lumpur
First Launch Since Signing Local MF Agreement
On June 4, CJ Foodville announced that its bakery brand Tous Les Jours would open a new store, 'Tous Les Jours Sunway Pyramid,' in a large shopping mall located in Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia. This new store is the first to be launched since the signing of a master franchise (MF) agreement with local partner Stream Empire Holdings in January.
Tous Les Jours Sunway Pyramid is located on the second floor of the large, multi-purpose shopping mall Sunway Pyramid in central Kuala Lumpur, occupying an area of approximately 60 pyeong (about 198 square meters). Tous Les Jours plans to introduce a wide range of authentic K-bakery breads and cakes in the Malaysian market, maintaining its total K-bakery concept. The lineup includes long-standing bestsellers such as pastries and fresh cream cakes, which have proven popular both domestically and internationally, as well as sandwiches made with meal breads and beverages tailored to meet the needs and preferences of local customers.
The company cited Tous Les Jours' successful business expansion in neighboring Indonesia as a positive factor for establishing itself in the Malaysian market. CJ Foodville plans to maximize synergy in various areas, including business operations and logistics in Malaysia, by leveraging its factory currently operating in Indonesia. Based on this strategy, the company also plans to open an additional store this month at Sunway Velocity Mall, a key commercial district in Kuala Lumpur.
A CJ Foodville representative stated, "We are pleased to introduce the healthy and fresh premium bakery brand value that Tous Les Jours has developed to Malaysia," adding, "Through our high-quality products that represent K-bakery, we will further strengthen our brand presence in the Southeast Asian market, including Malaysia."
