Kim Youngrok, Governor of Jeonnam Province, stated on the 4th, "I congratulate President Lee Jaemyung on his inauguration, having received overwhelming support and trust," and pledged, "Jeonnam Province will do its utmost to become a steadfast partner in the journey toward the 'Real Korea,' opening a new era of brilliant future prosperity."
In a congratulatory message for the inauguration of the 21st President Lee Jaemyung on this day, Governor Kim remarked, "From his days as a young factory worker in Seongnam, to human rights lawyer, mayor of Seongnam, governor of Gyeonggi Province, and party leader, his lifelong dedication to straightening a crooked world is itself a story of human triumph."
He continued, "This is a living symbol of hope and courage for all citizens," and expressed his wish, "I hope that the president's philosophy, born from such a life journey?a citizen-sovereign government where the people are the true owners, and an era of genuine growth in which all economic actors share in the fruits of prosperity?will fully blossom."
He also expressed his commitment to taking the lead in the era of 'K-Initiative,' where Korea leads the world, in line with the new government's philosophy and direction.
Key policies for this include: ▲ Jeonnam-style basic income, solar and wind pensions, and energy basic income to realize a 'basic society' in which the state guarantees the fundamental life of all citizens; ▲ achieving a revolutionary energy transition for Korea based on Jeonnam's abundant renewable energy, attracting global AI companies, and creating a new paradigm for balanced national development; ▲ building the world's largest Solaseado AI Super Data Cluster Hub in the era of the AI revolution.
Governor Kim stated, "The seven major regional pledges for Jeonnam, which the president firmly promised during his candidacy, contain the long-held dreams and aspirations of Jeonnam residents," and added, "We will work together to ensure the steady implementation of projects such as establishing Jeonnam as a renewable energy hub, creating a future high-tech strategic industry cluster, founding the Jeonnam National Medical School, transforming the Yeosu petrochemical industry, developing a leading Northeast Asian gateway airport and expanding ultra-wide transportation networks, securing global competitiveness for future agriculture, fisheries, and livestock industries, and building a global marine, tourism, and cultural hub on the southern coast."
In conclusion, Governor Kim recalled, "Last May in Suncheon, even in the pouring rain, Jeonnam residents steadfastly supported the campaign site. At that time, the president?then a candidate?bowed deeply and promised, 'I will never forget this scene,'" and expressed his earnest hope, "I sincerely wish that the precious and heartfelt dream of creating a country where not only the Seoul metropolitan area but also the provinces are filled with smiles and where brighter hopes live and breathe, will become a reality."
