Through this forest trail maintenance project, the city repaired aging and damaged facilities and expanded user convenience facilities.

The maintenance project included the installation of convenience facilities along the Metasequoia Trail and Cypress Forest in San 93, Wangsalli, Mohyeon-eup, Cheoin-gu, which were created in 2016. For the 1.5-kilometer-long Phytoncide Barefoot Trail established last year, the city allocated a budget of 90 million won to repair drainage channels and install simple foot washing stations. In addition, a new walking path was created to connect the end of the barefoot trail to the foot washing stations, improving the overall flow for users.

The nearby 2.7-kilometer Taegyo Forest Trail, which suffered partial facility damage due to heavy snowfall last winter, was also restored. The city repaired damaged fences and safety ropes, and removed hazardous trees. During this process, some wooden stairs were replaced to improve the walking environment.

The 0.3-kilometer Bohwa Mountain forest trail in 630 Mabuk-dong, Giheung-gu, was also renovated. Here, a budget of 90 million won was used to replace old wooden stairs and install safety ropes to enhance the safety of the hiking trail.

Mayor Lee Sangil stated, "We will continue to manage the forest trails so that citizens can use them more safely and comfortably," adding, "We will also ensure the ongoing Gwanggyosan Dulle-gil creation project and Seokseongsan maintenance project proceed without delay."
