Gyeonggi Province is introducing a new identity verification service using mobile identification cards on its online administrative service portal, Gyeonggi Minwon24.
Previously, only simple authentication, joint certificates, and mobile phone authentication methods were available. With the introduction of mobile identification cards, the range of authentication methods has become more diverse.
Users can select "mobile identification card," enter their name and mobile phone number, and then verify their identity using either a PUSH notification or QR code recognition, depending on their preference.
Gyeonggi Minwon24 is a website that enables residents of Gyeonggi Province to conveniently apply for various administrative services online. The system is linked to 29 types of administrative information, such as resident registration certificates and health insurance qualification certificates, allowing for automatic eligibility verification without the need to submit unnecessary documents.
Currently, there are a total of 20 administrative services available for application on Gyeonggi Minwon24, including the Gyeonggi Family Care Allowance, Mamteunteun Livestock Package, Gyeonggi Province Caregiver SOS Project, and the Dad Parental Leave Incentive.
Detailed information on how to use the services or the application procedures can be found on the Gyeonggi Minwon24 website (gg24.gg.go.kr).
Kim Kibyeong, Director of AI at Gyeonggi Province, stated, "Gyeonggi Minwon24 serves as a hub for practical administrative services for residents, and the addition of this mobile authentication method has improved user convenience. We will continue to discover and expand essential services for our residents in the future."
