Woo Wonsik, Speaker of the National Assembly, cast his vote on the main polling day of the 21st presidential election on the 3rd and said, "I hope our society will move toward greater democratization."

On this day, Speaker Woo voted together with his spouse, Shin Kyunghye, at the Hagye 1-dong 4th polling station in Nowon-gu, Seoul, which is his constituency.


After casting his vote, Speaker Woo stated, "I hope that, overcoming the current turmoil in the Republic of Korea, we will move toward a more prosperous and democratized society that reflects the will of the people."


On his social networking service (SNS) Facebook, Speaker Woo also wrote, "On June 3, through today's election, I expect that the Republic of Korea will overcome the acts of democratic destruction that began on December 3, in accordance with the order of the Constitution and the law, and will once again move toward a stable democratic nation and the path of prosperity."


Speaker Woo emphasized, "You can cast your vote at designated polling stations today, June 3, from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Let us all exercise our precious rights and cast our important votes. Voting is powerful. Please make sure to vote for the Republic of Korea."
