Traveling Event for the 80th Anniversary of Liberation
Leading the Way in Promoting Local Independence Patriots
Gyeongbuk Northern Veterans Office held a traveling exhibition to widely promote the achievements of local independence patriots in celebration of the 80th anniversary of Liberation.
From May 26 to May 30, the Veterans Office hosted a portrait exhibition of independence patriots and an event introducing local independence patriots on the first floor of Andong Station, sharing the historical significance of Liberation with citizens.
This event is being held mainly at multi-use facilities with good accessibility. Andong Station was selected as the third stop, following Gyeongbuk Library and Yecheon-gun Complex Community Center. Next month, the exhibition will continue at Dongrak Hall in the Gyeongbuk Provincial Government Complex.
Lee Honggyun, head of the office, stated, "Commemorating the 80th anniversary of Liberation, it is meaningful to remember and carry on the noble spirit of independence activists together with local residents." He added, "We will continue to promote the legacy of those who sacrificed for the country through various initiatives to spread veterans culture."
Through this traveling event, Gyeongbuk Northern Veterans Office aims to honor the noble spirit of local independence patriots and contribute to the popularization and establishment of identity of veterans culture.
