11 AI Innovation Companies Sign Business Agreements
Building a Regional AI Industry Ecosystem

The city of Gwangju has been actively attracting companies with innovative technologies in various fields such as autonomous driving, healthcare, and industrial safety, and is promoting demonstration projects and commercialization using Gwangju's AI-based infrastructure.
On June 2, at the city hall business room, the city of Gwangju signed additional memorandums of understanding (MOUs) with 11 promising companies in the field of artificial intelligence (AI): Eastaid Co., Ltd., Eate Co., Ltd., SWM Co., Ltd., 78 Research Lab Co., Ltd., Devdi Co., Ltd., Reviveware Studio, SunnyMind Co., Ltd., MPWave Co., Ltd., EJM Company Co., Ltd., EZAI Co., Ltd., and ItTheCompany Co., Ltd.
The city plans to strengthen connections with local industries through cooperation with these companies and support the commercialization of technologies through field-oriented demonstration tests. Through this, Gwangju aims to create tangible synergy effects and further solidify the ecosystem of the AI industry.
The signing ceremony was attended by Mayor Kang Kijeong, Kim Namhyun (CEO of Eastaid Co., Ltd.), Kim Jinhyun (CEO of Eate Co., Ltd.), Kim Gihyuk (CEO of SWM Co., Ltd.), Kim Kyungdong (CEO of 78 Research Lab Co., Ltd.), Kim Kitae (CEO of Devdi Co., Ltd.), Oh Goun (CEO of Reviveware Studio), Kim Sunhee (CEO of SunnyMind Co., Ltd.), Park Hyungmin (CEO of MPWave Co., Ltd.), Yoon Euijin (CEO of EJM Company Co., Ltd.), Kim Geunhee (CEO of EZAI Co., Ltd.), and Kim Bonggeun (CEO of ItTheCompany Co., Ltd.).
The company representatives stated, "We will actively utilize Gwangju's AI infrastructure and network to verify our technologies on site and create new market opportunities through convergence with local industries," and added, "We will make every effort to help Gwangju grow as the center of Korea's AI industry."
Mayor Kang Kijeong said, "Gwangju is a city equipped with the optimal environment for AI companies to realize their technologies and enter the market," and emphasized, "The city will provide full support for the growth of these companies so that this agreement can lead to real results, not just a 'choice.'"
Meanwhile, the city plans to continue expanding cooperation with AI companies in various fields, and will strengthen tailored support policies for everything from early-stage startups to small and medium-sized enterprises, striving for qualitative growth and global competitiveness in the local AI industry.
