Goheung County to Host Honam's Largest "2,025 Drone Show" at Nokdong Port

A Moving Performance Showcasing Future Visions

Goheung County in South Jeolla Province (Governor Gong Youngmin) announced on June 2 that it will host the "2,025 Drone Show" at 9:00 p.m. on June 7 at the Nokdong Port Marine Garden area.

This event, set against the backdrop of Nokdong Port and Sorok Bridge, will feature a nighttime performance combining a drone show and a multimedia marine fireworks display, offering a unique spectacle for both locals and tourists.

A total of 2,025 drones will create three-dimensional displays symbolizing Goheung's three major future visions (space, drones·UAM, smart farms) and three key transportation infrastructures (the Goheung-Gwangju Expressway, high-speed rail, and the expansion and paving of the Goheung-Bongrae road). This will be the largest drone show in the Honam region, and is expected to showcase advanced large-scale drone operation technology.

The accompanying multimedia marine fireworks show will further enhance the nighttime atmosphere with lasers and pyrotechnic effects. The combination of drones and fireworks is expected to reaffirm the status of the drone show as Goheung's signature tourism content.

Various side events will also be available for visitors to enjoy alongside the drone show. Starting at 8:00 p.m., busking performances will fill the Marine Garden area with soothing music. Guests can also enjoy fresh seafood such as eel dishes and assorted sashimi, and a direct market featuring Goheung's local specialties will be operated as well.

A county official stated, "This drone show will serve as a turning point for advancing Goheung's tourism infrastructure," adding, "We are thoroughly preparing so that both locals and tourists can enjoy and be moved by the event, and we hope for your great interest and participation."
