Five Flights a Week
"Jeju International Routes Diversified"
T'way Air announced on June 2 that it will launch a new regular route between Jeju and Singapore starting August 15.
This route will operate five times a week (on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays), and from September 1 to October 25, the frequency will increase to seven times a week. Flights will depart from Jeju International Airport at 7:50 p.m. (local time) and arrive at Singapore Changi International Airport at 12:45 a.m. the following day. The return flight will depart from Changi Airport at 2:15 a.m. and arrive at Jeju Airport at 9:20 a.m. The flight duration is approximately 5 hours and 45 minutes. Singapore is one hour behind Korea.
T'way Air explained that the launch of this new route is part of efforts to diversify international routes from the Jeju region, and comes as the airline is increasing its international operations. The company expects that the influx of tourists from Southeast Asia, including Singapore, to Jeju will become more active, and that local residents and Korean travelers will have more overseas travel options. Starting June 11, T'way Air will offer special discounts to commemorate the launch of this new route through its official website and mobile application/webpage.
Previously, in May 2022, T'way Air became the first Korean low-cost carrier (LCC) to launch a regular Incheon-Singapore route. This route currently operates daily and has transported approximately 710,000 passengers and 17,000 tons of cargo to date.
A T'way Air representative said, "With the launch of the Jeju-Singapore route, we expect to see increased exchanges between Korea and Singapore, as well as a greater influx of foreign tourists," adding, "We will continue to prioritize safe operations and do our best to enhance customer convenience."
