"The Future Is Lee Junseok, So Now It's Kim Moonsoo"... Kwon Sungdong Calls for Unification Tonight

Call for Single Candidacy to Block Lee Jaemyung Criminal Group from Power
Urging Reform New Party Candidate to Make a Decisive Move One Day Before Main Vote

Kwon Sungdong, floor leader of the People Power Party, on June 2 called on Lee Junseok, the presidential candidate of the Reform New Party, to make a decisive move. Kwon urged Lee to declare his support for Kim Moonsoo and then withdraw from the race, stating, "Now is the time for Kim Moonsoo."

Through his social media account on this day, Kwon said, "If the Lee Jaemyung criminal group comes to power, we must unite and fight against them," and added, "Now is the time for a decision. The future is Lee Junseok, but for now, it must be Kim Moonsoo. Tonight, I ask everyone to rally behind candidate Kim Moonsoo to prevent the Lee Jaemyung criminal group from seizing power."

He argued that the election landscape is changing rapidly. Kwon said, "With just one day left before the main vote, I believe you are well aware that public sentiment is shifting dramatically," and added, "The silent public opinion is awakening. The desperate will of the people to stop the Lee Jaemyung criminal group from running unchecked is spreading like wildfire and converging around candidate Kim Moonsoo."

Kwon also tried to persuade Lee by emphasizing that unifying the candidates would benefit Lee. He said, "If the Lee Jaemyung criminal group comes to power, we must unite and fight against them," and added, "The administration will try to strip you of your parliamentary seat, and they will attempt to clamp down on the press by prosecuting journalists simply for quoting your statements. Until now, you have been at the forefront of warning against and fighting such potential dictatorship more than anyone else."
