Recently, there have been clear signs of a renewed spread of COVID-19, particularly overseas, which has heightened concerns about the virus being brought into the country.

The risk of infection is especially increasing among high-risk groups with weakened immune systems, making it more important than ever to establish a protective barrier through vaccination.

Disaster victims are particularly vulnerable to respiratory infectious diseases because a high proportion of them are elderly and they often live in crowded spaces such as senior centers or temporary housing facilities. In consideration of these factors, the Cheongsong County Public Health Medical Center is actively providing vaccination guidance, focusing on disaster victims aged 65 and older and those with weakened immune systems.

Vaccinations are provided free of charge every Wednesday at the Cheongsong County Public Health Medical Center. Recipients must bring identification, and immunocompromised individuals should also submit relevant medical documents. In addition, the Public Health Medical Center and the Eup-Myeon Administrative Welfare Centers are conducting on-site visits and providing vaccination guidance at temporary facilities to further protect disaster victims.

County Governor Yoon Kyunghee emphasized, "Disaster victims are not only facing psychological and physical hardships, but are also more susceptible to infectious diseases due to their communal living environments. It is essential to implement proactive vaccination and protective measures for these individuals. We will continue to do our utmost to protect the health of high-risk groups through vaccination and infectious disease response."
