BBQ Establishes West Coast Belt in the US... Expands to Oregon as 32nd State

First Store Opens in Beaverton

Genesis BBQ Group announced on June 2 that it has opened the 'BBQ Bibeoteun Branch' in Beaverton, Oregon, USA.

Beaverton, where the store is located, is home to the global sports brand Nike's headquarters. Beaverton has formed a high-tech business cluster known as 'Silicon Forest,' with many IT companies such as semiconductor firms moving in due to its stable residential environment and active support from the state government. The city is considered a stable dining market because of its high-income population and a large proportion of middle-class families. In addition, demand for Asian cuisine continues to grow, and the area’s public safety ensures a vibrant flow of people dining out even at night.

BBQ opened the Beaverton branch with a space of approximately 350 square meters (106 pyeong), and is also operating additional locations in 'Portland Downtown' and 'Southeast Portland.' The menu includes the signature Golden Fried Chicken series, as well as chicken dishes such as Soy Garlic, Honey Garlic, and Cheesling, along with side dishes like pasta and fried dumplings, and Korean dishes such as Tteokbokki, Kimchi Fried Rice, and pasta.

BBQ has been expanding its stores in key regions such as New York's Manhattan 32nd Street, New Jersey, Texas, and California. Last year, it entered four additional states: Tennessee, Nebraska, Arkansas, and Indiana. This year, it expanded into Utah as its 31st state and Oregon as its 32nd, further strengthening its capabilities to expand its business across the United States.

A BBQ representative stated, "With our entry into Oregon, we have completed the West Coast belt in the United States along with Washington and California," and added, "This year, we will continue to focus on promoting 'K-Food' and the BBQ brand, expanding mainly in the United States and into Central and South America."
