Improvement of Experience Centers and Accommodation Facilities
with an Investment of 150 Million Won
Chungnam Province announced on June 2 that it has selected five sites in four cities and counties as the targets for the '2025 Remodeling Project for Aging Experience and Recreational Facilities.'
This project aims to enhance safety and convenience for visitors to experience and recreational villages, as well as to improve the fundamental conditions of rural tourism services.
The support will cover the repair and improvement of aging infrastructure such as experience centers, accommodation facilities, educational spaces, and safety equipment, as well as environmental enhancements.
The project sites were finalized through the first and second rounds of public offerings: one site in Gongju City, one in Geumsan County, one in Buyeo County, and two in Cheongyang County.
The total project budget is 150 million won, with funding provided in the following proportions: 40% from the provincial government, 40% from the city or county governments, and 20% from self-financing.
Lee Hyukse, Director of the Rural Restructuring Division of Chungnam Province, stated, "Through this project, we will improve rural experience and recreational villages to be safer and more pleasant, thereby strengthening the foundation for their self-sustained operation. We will continue to provide support so that rural experience and recreational villages can play a pivotal role in enhancing the quality of rural tourism and revitalizing the local economy."
