"Hangeul in Everyday Life" Contest
Entries Taken in 2025 Eligible for Submission
The National Hangeul Museum, under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, announced on June 2 that it will be holding a photo and video contest titled "Hangeul in Everyday Life" until July 31.
This contest is themed "Hangeul in Everyday Life." Participants can submit photos and videos taken in 2025 that capture various forms of Hangeul found in daily life, including: Hangeul artworks, Hangeul signs and design products, Hangeul encountered abroad, Hangeul discovered in architecture, and scenes of learning Hangeul.
Anyone can participate regardless of nationality, age, or gender, and each person may submit up to three entries per category in both photo and video sections. Submitted works will be evaluated by experts, and a total of 30 entries will be selected, including two Grand Prizes, three Gold Prizes, and four Silver Prizes. Winners will receive the Director's Award from the National Hangeul Museum and cultural gift certificates, among other prizes. The winning entries will be exhibited at the Museum Nadeulgil (Ichon Station) throughout October.
An Seungseop, Director of Planning and Operations at the National Hangeul Museum, stated, "As this contest marks its fifth edition, it continues to receive great interest and positive responses both domestically and internationally. We hope that this year, Hangeul will be discovered in even more diverse forms around the world, further enhancing the value and spread of Hangeul culture."
