The Citizens' Promotion Team is set to begin full-scale activities for the 2026 Year of Visiting Yangsan.
Yangsan City will hold the '2026 Year of Visiting Yangsan Citizens' Promotion Team Inaugural Ceremony' on June 18 at the Yangsan Business Center Convention Hall.
The Citizens' Promotion Team, consisting of 300 citizens, was formed to share the significance of the Year of Visiting both internally and externally and to widely promote Yangsan City's tourism resources. The team also aims to foster sustainable tourism development through the participation of local residents.
The event will be composed of two main sessions. The first part will feature a pre-training session for the participants, while the second part will include the official ceremony, starting with a pre-event performance, followed by welcoming remarks, an appointment ceremony, and a commemorative performance.
Starting with the inaugural ceremony, the Promotion Team plans to carry out a variety of promotional activities to showcase the charms of Yangsan. Yangsan City also intends to continue more active and effective promotion efforts, expressing hopes for the participation and support of many citizens.
Mayor Na Dongyeon stated, "The Year of Visiting begins with the empathy and participation of citizens," and added, "As we celebrate the 30th anniversary of our city's elevation to city status in 2026, I hope all citizens will lend their support so that we can take a step forward as a tourism city."
In preparation for the 2026 Year of Visiting Yangsan, the city is strategically promoting its unique local attractions by developing a tourism brand BI and a tourism character. In addition, a variety of promotional activities are underway, including guerrilla marketing campaigns in major cities and joint overseas field marketing with Gyeongnam Province.
