Animation "Come Visit the Koryoin Village" Highlights the History and Culture of the Koryoin Community
The animation "Come Visit the Koryoin Village," produced by Gwangsan-gu, Gwangju, was recently released.
According to Koryoin Village on June 1, this animation depicts the migration history of the Koryoin people and the present-day Koryoin community in Gwangju. It is based on the lives of Koryoin who were forced to leave their homeland due to exploitation in the late Joseon Dynasty and independence movements during the Japanese colonial period.

The animation portrays the lives of the migrant Koryoin community in unfamiliar Central Asia and their return to their ancestral land in Gwangju, using a simple drawing style and narration.
The work features major landmarks such as the Koryoin Cultural Center, Moon Viktor Art Museum, Hong Beomdo Park, Traditional Costume Experience Center, and the Koryoin Village Specialized Street. Characters include Koryoin children, their Korean friends, and a village leader, adding a sense of realism to the story.
"Come Visit the Koryoin Village" is available for viewing on the Koryoin Village website, YouTube channel, and the Koryoin Cultural Center. It will also be used as educational material and a tourism promotional video in the future.
