Chonnam National University Hospital announced on June 1 that Professor Cho Hyungho of the Department of Otolaryngology has received a commendation from the Minister of Education in recognition of his contributions to educational development on the occasion of the 44th Teachers' Day.
Professor Cho, who serves as the head of the Open Laboratory Project at the Biomedical Research Institute of Chonnam National University Hospital, has guided master's and doctoral students. He was awarded the Minister of Education's commendation for his contributions to fostering outstanding physician-scientists, including the commercialization of medical technology and his students' receipt of the 2024 Korea Talent Award.
Professor Cho stated, "The medical field is changing every day with new technologies and knowledge, and the importance of physician-scientists with scientific thinking is growing more and more significant." He added, "I will continue to do my best to nurture physician-scientists who possess both academic knowledge and practical skills so that they can contribute to medical practice and the advancement of medicine."
