Agreement Signed with Lucen Park for One-Year Free Use of Land

Seocho District in Seoul announced on June 1 that it signed an agreement on May 26 with Lucen Park Co., Ltd. (CEO Youngchul Park) for the free use of the land at 625 Sinwon-dong, Naegok-dong, and will establish a temporary public parking lot with a capacity of 80 spaces.

The site was originally planned for the construction of a library, but the project has been temporarily put on hold due to schedule adjustments. As a result, Lucen Park, the landowner, decided to provide the site for public use to support local development, and it will be used free of charge as a temporary public parking lot for about one year.

The Naegok-dong area has high parking demand, including visitors to Cheonggyesan Mountain and users of the Naegok Open Culture Center. In particular, the existing Naegok-dong public parking lot (282 Sinwon-dong) is scheduled to close on June 2, making it urgent to secure alternative parking spaces. Seocho District has begun construction with the goal of opening the temporary parking lot in the second week of June, and expects that the parking inconvenience for nearby residents and visitors will be greatly alleviated once it opens.

Seocho District Mayor Seongsoo Jeon stated, "I would like to express my deep gratitude to Lucen Park for their support in resolving the parking inconvenience for residents," and added, "We will continue to do our best to minimize inconvenience for residents and to create a parking environment that meets local needs."
