This exchange is part of a reciprocal visit program that has been in full swing since 2019, following the sister city agreement established in 1999. A total of 30 teenagers, 15 from each city, participated. The students experienced various programs together, including a welcome ceremony, traditional hanbok experience, a tour of Gwanghallu Pavilion, astronomical observation at the Aerospace Observatory, cherry tomato harvesting, and a visit to Seodo Station. Through these activities, they experienced the local culture and strengthened their friendship.

The participating teenagers spent two days together, directly experiencing the meaning of cooperation and exchange. In September, youth from Namwon are scheduled to visit Guro District for the second round of the exchange program.

Jang Inhong, Mayor of Guro District, said, “This youth exchange goes beyond a simple experience and is meaningful in that it strengthens practical bonds between the sister cities. We will continue to expand exchange opportunities so that young people can encounter a broader world through various experiences.”
