Gyeonggi Province Launches "Fashion Design Commercialization and Capacity Building Project"
Applications Open Until June 13... Recruiting 25 Companies
Gyeonggi Province and the Gyeonggi Business & Science Accelerator (hereinafter referred to as GBSA) announced on June 1 that they are recruiting 25 textile and fashion-related companies in the province to participate in the "2025 Fashion Design Commercialization and Capacity Building Project" until June 13.
This project aims to strengthen the product competitiveness and marketing capabilities of textile and fashion companies in the province. It connects each company one-on-one with experts in each field, providing comprehensive support from design consulting to sample production. Last year, the project supported 130 companies, resulting in a total sales increase of 4.7 billion won.
Eligible applicants are textile and fashion-related companies whose headquarters or factories are located in Gyeonggi Province. The project will support a total of 65 companies: 40 in the first half of the year and 25 in the second half, specifically in the areas of fashion or textile design development and sample production.
For this second-half recruitment, 25 companies will be selected in line with the FW new product preparation season. Companies chosen for support will receive up to 2 million won for costs related to fashion and textile design development and sample (apparel or fabric) production.
Companies wishing to participate must prepare the required documents and apply through the Gyeonggi Business Secretary website by June 13.
Jeon Eunsook, Director of Corporate Development at Gyeonggi Province, stated, "Although the domestic textile and fashion market has recently contracted significantly, it is essential to enhance product competitiveness through high value-added design development in order to overcome this situation. We encourage companies seeking to enhance the value of their textile and fashion products to show great interest and actively participate."
