The Gumi Food Integrated Support Center and the Gumi Social Contribution Support Center held a social contribution agreement ceremony with local farmers at the Gumi Local Food Direct Store Geumosan branch on May 29, 2025.

This agreement was initiated to expand the local food circulation system, established through local food, into community public interest activities, and to promote the social responsibility of supplying farms.

The first participant is Son Gwangsik, the representative of "Good Yeonggwang Mushroom Village." As a supplier to the local food direct store, Son donated 2 million won in scholarships to foster local talent. He is currently serving as the chairman of the Gumi Local Food Direct Store Suppliers' Association.

Son stated, "Thanks to the support of local consumers, I have been able to continue farming," and added, "I decided to donate as a gesture of gratitude. I will continue to take the lead in practicing good agriculture."

Gumi Mayor Kim Jangho said, "A starting point has been established for a circulation structure in which food produced locally supports the local community," and emphasized, "The voluntary social contribution of supplying farms will serve as a major foundation for the growth of the local community."

Starting with this agreement, the Gumi Local Food Direct Store and the Gumi Social Contribution Support Center plan to establish a sustainable social contribution system through donation relays, performance reporting sessions, awards for outstanding supplying farms, and joint promotion of local public interest projects.

The value of local food is now extending beyond simple food consumption to the recovery of the local community and the spread of a culture of sharing.
