Over 2,100 Cycling Enthusiasts from Across the Country Participate
Children's Balance Bike Competition Held Alongside the Event
Yecheon County in North Gyeongsang Province announced on May 31 that it had successfully completed the '2025 Yecheon Jesuryung Granfondo' event, which saw the participation of over 2,100 cycling enthusiasts from across the country.

This year marked the fourth edition of the Jesuryung Granfondo, hosted by the Yecheon County Sports Council, organized by XCWORKS, and sponsored by North Gyeongsang Province and Yecheon County. Registration for the event closed in just half a day, establishing it as the premier cycling festival in the nation.
The event featured two courses: 103.6 km (Challenge A) and 93.3 km (Challenge B). It was characterized by the natural scenery of the Baekdudaegan mountain range and challenging uphill sections. The race started at Yecheon Bridge and finished at Yecheon Stadium, passing through areas such as Mungyeong, Danyang, and Yecheon, showcasing a variety of scenic landscapes.
To enhance safety, the speed limit for downhill sections was reduced from the previous 45 km/h to 40 km/h. The organizers also worked in close cooperation with North Gyeongsang Province, local governments, and the police to ensure thorough road maintenance and traffic control.
Additionally, on the day of the event, the 'National Children's Balance Bike Competition' was held at Yecheon Stadium, where over 200 children enjoyed the festivities.
Hakdong Kim, Governor of Yecheon County, stated, "The Yecheon Jesuryung Granfondo is raising its national recognition and status," and added, "We will continue to contribute to revitalizing the local economy through various sports marketing initiatives."
