Yangju City to Hold "12th Citizens' Song Festival" on June 22... Preliminary Round on the 15th

Yangju City in Gyeonggi Province announced on May 31 that it will hold the "12th Yangju Citizens' Song Festival" on June 22 at the main stage of Deokgye Neighborhood Park.

This event, organized by the Yangju branch of the Korea Entertainment Artists Association, is prepared as the main event of the 19th Yangju Arts Festival. It aims to promote community unity and cultural enjoyment through a citizen-participation stage.

Popular singers such as Yoon Suhyeon, Kim Yeonsuk, Kang Cheol, Han Seunggi, and Park Mijeong will be invited to perform celebratory stages. Citizen participants who advance to the finals will perform on stage and showcase their singing abilities.

Winners of the song festival will receive cash prizes as follows: Grand Prize - 1,000,000 KRW, Gold Prize - 500,000 KRW, Silver Prize - 300,000 KRW, Bronze Prize - 200,000 KRW, and Encouragement Prize - 100,000 KRW.

Eligibility is limited to Yangju citizens or those active within Yangju City. The preliminary round will be held on June 15 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at B1, 1574 Pyeonghwa-ro, Yangju City (Kim Chaehee Recording Studio). Applications for participation can be submitted on-site on the day of the preliminary round.

Kim Chaehee, head of the Yangju branch of the Korea Entertainment Artists Association, said, "I hope this song festival becomes an opportunity for citizens to showcase their talents and become the stars of the stage," and added, "We look forward to the interest and participation of many citizens."

Meanwhile, the 19th Yangju Arts Festival will be held at Deokgye Neighborhood Park from June 21 to June 22, featuring a variety of performances, exhibitions, and hands-on programs.
