Emergency Restoration Agreement Signed with Architects Association and Equipment Companies
Lee Pilhyung, District Mayor: "A Great Help in Preventing Secondary Damage"
On May 30, Dongdaemun-gu in Seoul signed a business agreement for prompt restoration in the event of architectural accidents, together with the Dongdaemun-gu Architects Association and local construction equipment companies. This agreement is significant in that the district has completely reorganized its own emergency restoration system, enabling immediate and proactive responses in the event of an accident.

The agreement includes the Dongdaemun-gu Architects Association, demolition company Eunhasu Industry, and waste disposal company Daesung Development Industry. Over the next two years, in the event of a building collapse or major accident, restoration activities such as equipment deployment, technical support, and on-site inspections will be carried out systematically.
Dongdaemun-gu has been strengthening safety management for private buildings and construction sites, but there have been limitations such as the lack of manuals and shortages of personnel and equipment when accidents occurred. In response, the district has reorganized its emergency restoration system and established a foundation for public-private cooperation.
Pilhyung Lee, Mayor of Dongdaemun-gu, stated, "This agreement will be of great help in preventing secondary damage in the event of an accident," and added, "Prevention is our top priority, but in unavoidable situations, we will cooperate with various organizations to minimize damage."
Taehyung Yoon, President of the Dongdaemun-gu Architects Association, said, "This agreement for community safety is an important responsibility for construction professionals," and expressed hope that "the district's commitment and efforts for resident safety will lead to tangible results."
