This weekend, South Korea will be located on the edge of a high-pressure system, resulting in mostly clear weather nationwide.


On May 31, morning lows are expected to range from 8 to 16 degrees Celsius, while daytime highs will range from 22 to 29 degrees Celsius.


During the day, temperatures will rise significantly due to sunlight, while at night, temperatures will drop because of radiative cooling.


The expected minimum and maximum temperatures for major cities are as follows: Seoul, 16 and 29 degrees; Incheon, 16 and 24 degrees; Daejeon, 13 and 28 degrees; Gwangju, 15 and 27 degrees; Daegu, 12 and 28 degrees; Ulsan, 12 and 26 degrees; and Busan, 14 and 26 degrees.


This weekend, ozone concentrations across the country, except for the Yeongdong region of Gangwon, are expected to reach 'bad' levels or higher.


In particular, on May 31, ozone levels in southern Gyeonggi Province and South Chungcheong Province are expected to reach 'very bad' levels.
