Gyeonggi Transportation Corporation and Pocheon City held the opening ceremony for Gyeonggi-do Metropolitan Bus Route 3003 (Public Management System), which will begin operation on June 1, at the Pocheon Transportation Depot in Pocheon City on the 30th.

The event was attended by approximately 50 people, including Min Kyungseon, President of Gyeonggi Transportation Corporation, Baek Younghyeon, Mayor of Pocheon, Kim Seongnam, Provincial Assembly Member, Yoon Chungsik, Provincial Assembly Member, Lim Jonghun, City Council Member, and local residents. The ceremony included commemorative speeches, congratulatory remarks, a ribbon-cutting ceremony, and a trial ride on the metropolitan bus.

Route 3003 is a metropolitan bus line that starts at Pocheon Kyungbok University, passes through Sinbuk-myeon and Seondan-dong, and runs to Byeollae Station, where Seoul Subway Line 8 and the Gyeongchun Line stop. The bus operates at intervals of 30 to 35 minutes, from 5:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Gyeonggi Transportation Corporation and Pocheon City expect that the launch of Route 3003 will significantly improve access to the metropolitan subway system for Pocheon residents and help alleviate congestion on the currently operating Route 3006 bus. Min Kyungseon, President of Gyeonggi Transportation Corporation, stated, "Gyeonggi-do Metropolitan Bus Route 3003 is the result of long-standing efforts to expand the transportation network connecting Pocheon to the Seoul metropolitan area." He added, "We will continue to do our best to address transportation blind spots and realize transportation welfare for residents of Gyeonggi Province."
