Gwangju Dong-gu to Host "Squid Game" Event at Car-Free Street 'Car-Free Street' Squid Game Poster.

On May 30, Gwangju Dong-gu District announced that it will feature content from the Netflix drama "Squid Game" at the "Car-Free Street" event, which will take place around Geumnam-ro on June 7. The aim is to provide families with special memories and opportunities for interaction.


Games featured in the drama "Squid Game," such as "Mugunghwa Flower Has Bloomed" and "Round and Round," will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Julyeoing Zone on that day. Anyone?including families, couples, and friends?can participate.


Participation is free of charge, and Onnuri gift certificates will be awarded as prizes to those who place first, second, and third. Up to 200 participants will be recruited online on a first-come, first-served basis, and about 100 people have already registered. If the number of online applicants does not reach the limit, on-site registration will be available at the event's operation booth. For further details, inquiries can be made by phone.


Lim Taek, head of Dong-gu District, stated, "The June event will feature a variety of programs so that the whole family can participate. We hope for strong interest and participation from citizens."


Meanwhile, starting next month, Dong-gu District will change the Car-Free Street event on Geumnam-ro?which has been held on the first Sunday of every month since March?to the first Saturday of each month.
