According to the county on May 30, this youth mock vote is being held in cooperation with the 2025 Youth Mock Vote Jeonbuk Headquarters (Youth YMCA National Representatives Council, Korea Youth Policy Solidarity, Korea YMCA National Federation), and is being conducted both online and offline.
Youth who wish to participate in the mock vote online can register as voters through a QR code and participate online during both the early voting period and on the main voting day.
On May 29, early voting was held at the Wanju County Youth Center 'Gorae', and on May 30, it is being conducted at Gosang High School. On the main voting day, scheduled for June 3, vote counting will begin at 8 p.m., after the polls close.
This youth mock vote is the second to be held in Wanju County, following its first implementation during last year's 22nd general election. Youth election committee members who participated in the previous mock vote are also voluntarily taking part in operating polling stations and counting votes this time. The youth are participating in all aspects of promotion and operation, gaining another opportunity to practice democracy.
County Governor Yoo Heetae said, "The youth mock vote is a valuable opportunity for young people, as future voters, to experience the election process firsthand and gain a deeper understanding of the meaning of democracy." He added, "The county will actively support youth political participation and the cultivation of civic awareness, taking the lead in building a healthy democratic society."
