Daewoo Construction announced on May 30 that it has refined its high-end apartment brand, Summit, and will apply it for the first time to the reconstruction project of Gaepo Woosung 7th Apartment Complex in Seoul.
The bidding for the selection of a construction company for Gaepo Woosung 7th will close on June 19. Daewoo Construction stated that, after internal review until recently, it has decided to participate under the best possible business conditions. The company emphasized that Kim Bohyun, CEO of Daewoo Construction, is leading the entire bidding process.
Daewoo Construction explained that it has spent a long time preparing the design, finishes, and landscaping, taking into account the preferences of the association members. The company added that, rather than focusing on its own profits, it is prioritizing the interests of the association members by applying differentiated designs and proposing better business terms than other companies, mobilizing all of its resources for this purpose.

The company plans to collaborate with Jean-Michel Wilmotte, a renowned French architect, to design the complex. He has participated in prominent architectural projects such as the Louvre Museum, the Mus?e des Beaux-Arts de Lyon, and the Museum of Islamic Art in Doha, Qatar. According to the company, he also holds a unique position in the high-end architectural field in Korea, having worked on projects such as the Gana Art Center in Pyeongchang-dong and Incheon International Airport.
A company representative said, "We will use this bidding process as an opportunity to introduce a top 0.1% ultra-high-end residential product that reflects our sincerity and capabilities," and added, "We will meet the expectations of the association members with outstanding business terms and landmark complex design."
This project mainly involves demolishing the existing 15 buildings of 14 stories and 802 units, and constructing a new apartment complex with up to 35 stories and 1,122 units. The construction cost is estimated by the association to be 677.8 billion KRW.
