Appraisers from Korea, China, and Japan gathered in Seoul to explore strategies for industrial innovation in the era of digital transformation.

The Korea Association of Property Appraisers announced on May 30 that it recently hosted the 6th Korea-Japan-China Appraisal Cooperation Meeting at the Appraisers’ Hall in Seocho-gu, Seoul. The two-day event, held from May 29, was attended by around 200 participants, including appraisers from the three countries, as well as officials from government and related organizations.

First held in 2013, the trilateral appraisal cooperation meeting aims to establish a framework for exchange and cooperation and to seek sustainable development of the East Asian appraisal industry. This year marks its sixth edition.

Hajime Kawachidani from Japan explored the potential of digital-based sales comparison approaches. Professor Yan Shudong from China analyzed how technological advancements have changed appraisal methodologies.

Yang Gilsu, President of the Korea Association of Property Appraisers, stated, “This meeting provided an opportunity to discuss the future direction of the appraisal industry in the era of digital transformation and to broaden the scope of cooperation among the three countries. We will continue to strengthen international solidarity and lead future innovation.”

The 7th cooperation meeting is scheduled to be held in Japan in 2027.
