Sinan-gun Records 49.69% Cumulative Voter Turnout

As of 9 a.m. on May 30, the second day of early voting for the 21st presidential election, Sinan-gun recorded the highest cumulative voter turnout among the 22 cities and counties in Jeollanam-do.
According to the National Election Commission, since early voting began at 6 a.m. the previous day, 611,168 out of a total of 1,559,431 eligible voters in Jeollanam-do have cast their ballots, resulting in a turnout rate of 39.24%. This is the highest participation rate in the country.
In particular, in Sinan-gun, 17,804 out of 35,832 eligible voters, or 49.69%, participated in the vote, marking the highest turnout in Jeollanam-do. This was followed by Jangheung-gun (47.57%), Gokseong-gun (46.88%), and Jangseong-gun (46.54%).
Gwangyang-si recorded the lowest voter turnout in Jeollanam-do, with a participation rate of 33.65%.
Meanwhile, the nationwide cumulative voter turnout as of the same time was 22.14%. This is the highest figure ever recorded for this time of day.
