Hip Music and Dance Performances to Be Held at Eungye Lake Park in Siheung

International B-boy Competition "Siheung Breaking Battle" to Be Held on June 8

On June 7 and 8, Eungye Lake Park, a major leisure destination in Siheung, Gyeonggi Province, will host a two-day music and dance performance event aimed at young people.

The city of Siheung will hold the "2025 Siheung Hiphan Festival" under the theme "Hiphan~! Meet You at Eungye!" at the Eungye Lake Park outdoor stage on June 7. This is the second edition of the festival, following last year's inaugural event, and is organized to provide citizens with dynamic pop culture content through a music festival.

This year's lineup includes musicians such as Hangzoo, Nucksal, Simon Dominic, and Dynamic Duo. The performances are open to the public free of charge. To ensure the festival is an eco-friendly, zero-waste event, the city plans to prohibit eating and drinking in the audience area, as well as the use of mats on the steps and in designated standing zones.

On June 8, the same venue will host the "2025 Siheung Breaking Battle." Now in its fourth year, this competition will feature performances by leading domestic b-boy crews and a variety of interactive programs.

Eight teams will participate in the competition: 20segi Bboys, Reverse Crew, Jinjo Crew, Gamblerz Crew, One Way Crew, Breakheart, Wild Crew, and Kai Crew. The prize money will be awarded as follows: 4 million won for first place, 2 million won for second place, 1 million won each for the two teams in third place, 650,000 won each for the four teams in the "Best 8," and 1 million won for the MVP.

Before the competition begins, there will be a variety of citizen participation programs, including DJing experiences, tattoo experiences, hat-making, and fan signing events by the participating crews. The event will also feature congratulatory performances by dancer Poppin Hyunjoon and gugak musician Park Aeri.
