Jeong Cheolwon, the mayor of Damyang County in South Jeolla Province, cast his vote at the early voting station on the first floor of Damyang Cultural Center on the first day of early voting for the 21st presidential election on the 29th.

Mayor Jeong stated, "I came to the polling station to exercise my rights as a citizen and to make an important choice for our region and country," and added, "I hope that voters who may find it difficult to visit a polling station on election day will visit a nearby early voting station today or tomorrow to exercise their valuable rights."

Damyang County has installed and is operating early voting stations at 12 locations, including Damyang-eup. The locations can be checked on the official Damyang County website. Early voting is held over two days, from the 29th to the 30th, and the voting hours are from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Voters should bring an ID card such as a resident registration card, driver's license, or passport and visit the nearest early voting station.

Meanwhile, on the 28th, the county completed inspections of the early voting stations to ensure a safe and convenient voting process for voters. The county is making every effort to carry out election duties smoothly and to ensure a fair and clean presidential election.
