Daegu Catholic University has set up a youth lounge at Hayang (Daegu Catholic University) Station to offer various employment services such as job information and career counseling to students and local young people.
The newly opened "Youth Lounge" is part of the University Job Plus Center project, led by the Ministry of Employment and Labor. It is designed to enable young people to receive career and employment support close to their daily lives, without having to visit the campus.
Located inside Hayang (Daegu Catholic University) Station on Daegu Subway Line 1, the lounge offers excellent accessibility and is open to all local young people, not just students of Daegu Catholic University.
The "Youth Lounge" provides a range of customized services, including job information, career counseling, and guidance on government employment policies. The university also plans to operate various programs in the future to further strengthen the practical employment capabilities of local youth.
Daegu Catholic University President Sung Hankee stated, "I hope the Youth Lounge becomes a career and employment platform that expands beyond the campus and into the local community," adding, "We will continue to seek various ways for the university and local youth to grow together."
The opening of the Youth Lounge is drawing attention as a meaningful effort by the university and the local community to collaborate in addressing youth unemployment.
