Kim Moonsoo Aims for a "Great Reversal" in Incheon and Siheung: "Will Strengthen South Korea-U.S. Alliance and Become a President for Business" (Comprehensive)

Kim Mentions Incheon Landing Operation: "City of Great Reversal"
"I Will Be a President Who Attracts World-Class Companies"
Toward Candidate Lee Jaemyung: "No to Bulletproof Dictatorship"

Kim Moonsoo, the People Power Party's presidential candidate, visited Incheon on the 29th, where Lee Jaemyung, the Democratic Party's presidential candidate, and the Democratic Party hold the majority of seats, as early voting began. He appealed for last-minute support, saying, "Incheon is the city of a great reversal and turnaround that saved the Republic of Korea, and it is a symbol of the South Korea-U.S. alliance." Kim also expressed his confidence as the right person to lead the country, referencing his achievements as governor of Gyeonggi Province during a campaign stop in Siheung, the location of Turtle Island, which is currently a point of contention with Lee Jaemyung.

During a campaign rally at Bupyeong Cultural Street in Bupyeong, Incheon, on the 29th, Kim Moonsoo mentioned the Incheon Landing Operation and emphasized the importance of the South Korea-U.S. alliance, stating, "The most important U.S. military base for Korea and the United States was located in Bupyeong. I want to thank all the citizens working hard for national defense and security." Earlier that day, Kim paid respects at the statue of General MacArthur, held a rally at Jayu Park, and cast his early vote at the Gyeyang 1-dong Community Center in Incheon with his daughter Dongju.

He continued, "After the U.S. military withdrew in 1949, the Korean War broke out just one year later. But now, with U.S. troops stationed here, peace has been maintained for about 73 years without war." He added, "These days, the United States and China are competing for global hegemony, and South Korea is extremely important. We must firmly uphold the South Korea-U.S. alliance."

He then referenced Lee Jaemyung's past remarks describing U.S. forces as an occupying army after Korea's liberation, saying, "But these people (the Democratic Party) keep questioning why the U.S. military is stationed here. Do you know they called them an occupying army?" He continued, "We must strengthen the South Korea-U.S. alliance and respond decisively to North Korea's nuclear threat. Do you think the U.S. government would consider Kim Moonsoo a friend, or Lee Jaemyung a friend?"

During a campaign rally in Michuhol District, Incheon, Kim appealed for votes by highlighting the People Power Party's efforts for Incheon's development. He said, "Look at how well Incheon is doing. In fact, everything from Songdo to Incheon International Airport was accomplished by the People Power Party." He emphasized, "Even Inha University was established by former President Syngman Rhee, who sold all the schools he was running in Hawaii to save education in our country."

Kim also said, "Incheon is the gateway to the Pacific, and everything from Incheon Airport to the port has been completed." He added, "If I become president, I will attract many companies to Incheon. I will be a president for business, bringing many world-class companies to Incheon."

In his campaign stop in Siheung, Gyeonggi Province, Kim claimed he persuaded those in charge to have the Sosa-Wonsi Line pass through Siheung and asked for support. He also recounted his experience as governor of Gyeonggi Province, when he attracted Samsung Electronics' semiconductor plant and created jobs. He criticized Lee Jaemyung's basic income pledge, saying, "We need to give young people jobs. If you just hand out a little money so they can buy cigarettes, how can the country survive?"

Kim especially continued his attack by mentioning Lee Jaemyung's judicial risks. He said, "How can someone who has committed crimes talk about impeaching the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court and abolishing the prosecution? It's like a thief taking away the police's baton and beating up police officers, prosecutors, and judges?it's sheer audacity." He stressed, "Such a reckless, bulletproof monster dictatorship cannot be allowed."
