Everything About Electric Vehicles... 'EV Trend Korea 2025' Opens at COEX 2024 EV Trend Korea Exhibition Hall Overview

South Korea's leading electric vehicle exhibition, 'EV Trend Korea 2025,' will be held from June 3 to June 5 at Hall A of COEX in Gangnam-gu, Seoul.


'EV Trend Korea 2025' offers a comprehensive look at the present and future of the electric vehicle industry. The event is hosted by the Ministry of Environment and co-organized by COEX (President Cho Sanghyun), the Korea Battery Industry Association (Chairman Kim Dongmyung), and the Korea Automobile Environment Association (Chairman Jung Jongsun).


This year's event will be the largest ever, featuring 95 companies and 451 booths, and will showcase the latest technologies and trends across the entire electric vehicle industry, including domestic and international automakers, batteries, charging, and parts.


Major domestic and international automakers will participate, offering visitors new electric vehicle experiences and opportunities for test drives.


Hyundai Motor will unveil its fully redesigned hydrogen electric vehicle model, 'The All-New Nexo,' for the first time in seven years since 2018, as well as its first electrified flagship SUV, the 'IONIQ 9.' Kia will showcase the compact electrified sedan 'EV4' and the purpose-built vehicle (PBV) 'PV5 Passenger.' KGM will display the nation's first electric pickup, the 'Musso EV.' Visitors will also be able to see electric vehicles from global brands such as BYD, Volvo, Polestar, BMW, Jeep, and Cadillac.


Visitors can directly experience the latest electric vehicles from major brands through the 'EV Ride 2025' test drive event. The real-road test drive, which starts at the COEX South Gate and circles the Gangnam area, offers a unique opportunity to experience the everyday integration of EVs.


On June 3 (Tuesday), there will be a movie day for general visitors, an EV investment seminar, and a book concert. At the EV V2L Camping Zone, families and couples can enjoy food and a camping atmosphere together.


Furthermore, a wide range of solutions and products for electric vehicles, such as batteries, chargers, and charging infrastructure, will be on display, presenting new technologies for the EV lifestyle.


Evolution Co., Ltd. will unveil for the first time its patented optical technology-based automatic management system, 'Connector Care,' which extends the lifespan of charging connectors. EVSIS Co., Ltd. will introduce three next-generation charging products at EV Trend Korea: a V2G charger featuring V2G technology, a megawatt charger capable of ultra-fast 1MW power supply, and a smart-controlled slow charger equipped with a PLC modem.


DuruSCO EV Co., Ltd. will present its car stopper-type electric vehicle charger, the only product that can be installed in inner parking spaces where conventional stand-alone or wall-mounted chargers cannot be installed.


Moderntec Co., Ltd. will unveil various products for the first time at this exhibition, including a 120kW V2G charger. EL Electric will present the nation's first certified smart-controlled slow charger and an eco-friendly, highly flame-retardant charging connector made with new materials.


Uplus IT will introduce its lineup of slow, fast, and crime prevention-type (CPTED) chargers, as well as new automation technologies for charging station operations through its AI-based EV charging station management platform. Zenith Korea will exhibit its full range of charging solutions, from BMS and PLC modems to chargers and charging compatibility testing equipment.


Water will attract attention by presenting an eco-friendly charging station model that goes beyond simple charging technology to combine mobility infrastructure and culture.


Vector Korea will showcase charging communication solutions and management applications for EV and charger development. Ssangyong Sten Co., Ltd. will recreate the pit of the 'SK ZIC United' racing team?its official sponsor?inside the exhibition hall, allowing visitors to experience the inside of an actual electric vehicle racing team pit, along with fast and slow charging canopies for EV charging stations.


Softberry will operate an EVI Hub information and consultation booth for its charging station management solution and will introduce new AI and reservation-related services. TVU Co., Ltd. will present 'Elecberry,' an AI-based integrated EV charging platform, and mobile charging services.


CY Mutec will introduce a battery thermal runaway inhibitor. Yuksong Co., Ltd. will present an upward automatic water supply device and other EV fire spread delay systems. OAT Co., Ltd. will showcase BFTC (Battery Fire Target Control) technology, which quickly controls fires originating from EV batteries.


At 'EV Trend Korea 2025,' in addition to the exhibition, a variety of side events will be held to assess the current state of the EV industry and forecast its future potential.


On June 4, the Ministry of Environment will host the EV Industry International Conference at the EV Insight Hub (conference hall) in Hall A. The conference will feature the Ministry's announcement of the '2025 Zero-Emission Vehicle Supply Support Policy.' Glenn Schmidt, Vice President of BMW headquarters, and Park Kangseok, CEO of Volvo Trucks, will deliver keynote speeches on BMW Group's sustainability strategy and opportunities in electric commercial vehicles.


There will also be lectures covering key issues in the electric vehicle industry, including global EV market trends, European battery regulations, and smart charging technologies.


On June 3 at the EV Insight Hub (conference hall) in Hall A, securities analysts will share forecasts on trends in the electric vehicle, hydrogen vehicle, and battery industries, and provide in-depth analyses of the future mobility industry from an investment perspective. On June 5 at the same venue, a series of presentations will focus on advanced technologies and trends, including government policies for expanding EV charging infrastructure, strategies to overcome the chasm through battery advancement, high-output automatic charging systems, and Hyundai Motor's robotic charging technology.


Additionally, from June 4 to June 5, an 'Overseas Buyer Export and Investment Consultation' will be held, connecting about 20 buyers from seven countries?including Spain, Hong Kong, and Indonesia?with participating companies to support overseas market expansion and exports.
