Early Voting Begins in Bongdam-eup on the 29th

Jung Myunggeun, mayor of Hwaseong City in Gyeonggi Province, visited the early voting station in Bongdam-eup on the first day of early voting for the 21st presidential election on the 29th, participating in the vote together with his wife, Lee Sunhee.

After voting, Mayor Jung stated, "Each of us may be a small wave, but together we can create a great wave," adding, "Your precious vote has the power to change the future of the Republic of Korea."
In Hwaseong City, a total of 29 early voting stations have been set up, with one in each eup, myeon, and dong. Voters are required to bring identification, such as a resident registration card, driver's license, or passport, to participate in the vote.
The total number of eligible voters in Hwaseong City is 790,504. As of 10 a.m. on the 29th, 35,426 citizens had already cast their ballots in the city, recording a voter turnout of 4.48%. Early voting will take place for two days, from the 29th to the 30th, between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m., while the main election will be held on June 3rd from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.
